Terms Sent to Search Tools
A name, place, or other detail entered into an outside search tool is transmitted to the third-party company that supplies that tool. Mackinac County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms control its handling of the query.
Messages You Send
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the message and contact details as needed to answer. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Information Collected Automatically
Normal website systems may record basic technical and usage details when a page loads. Those logs can contain:
- Your Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device class and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available

Some advertising companies may use their systems to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based advertising. That cross-site tracking occurs under the advertising company’s practices, not as a Mackinac County government function.

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request deletion.
